A historic location for modern art. The main building la Grande Halle sits on a single storey, 70 metres long by 10 metres wide.
With a square footprint, 459,000 bricks make up the walls, and a spiral staircase connects the various floors. The exterior is made of Ecaussinnes blue stone. The history of Mons through its Heritage. To achieve this, a collection of historical documents and works of art will be set out in a chronological path and will cross paths from time to time with diachronic developments illustrating the evolution of certain seminal themes in the specific history of the city of Mons and its heritage.

Open since September 2012, the Magasin de Papier is a contemporary exhibition space with an eclectic programme focusing primarily on local and regional art. It represents a unique opportunity for artists from Mons and the surrounding region to exhibit their work. After a period of renovation, the Magasin de Papier is delighted to welcome you back for some new exhibitions.
